English Bulldog Kennel

If you would not mind an English Bulldog in your house or even have a liking for this dog so strong that you can hardly battle the temptation to come running to your breeder and purchase a puppy immediately, you must first think of a good English Bulldog Kennel. Dogs usually do okay in kennels, providing they are constructed and installed properly and dogs are trained to accept them as their own little homes.

English Bulldogs are intelligent and docile dogs. They are not aggressive, but are quite protective around their loved ones. Bulldogs appreciate company and enjoy interaction. They require moderate exercise and daily walks. English Bulldogs are good companions for children, and they never attack strangers without provocation, although they do feel suspicious about them. It takes a little bit of time for a person to gain trust of an English Bulldog. These dogs can be stubborn, which is often confused with lack of intelligence. Their stubbornness may surface when you start getting your Bulldog accustomed to its English Bulldog Kennel. Please, do not apply rough methods of disciplining, because in this case your dog may develop neurotic reactions or become prone to aggression.

Although fighter’s traits of character have been almost completely bred out from the Bulldog, he still shows determination and persistency in defending his loved ones. These dogs are great wit children, and will tolerate prodding and pulling from children. However, children must be taught to respect the dog, and it is absolutely inadmissible to leave Bulldogs around children without supervision. English Bulldog Kennels also serve as shelters for dogs, where they can hide away from children, should they behave in an annoying or indiscreet way. Bulldog breeders are usually strict on dog-child relationship rules, and they may not recommend Bulldogs for families with very young or poorly behaved children.

If socialized properly, English Bulldogs can be relatively friendly with other pets. Males can be aggressive toward other males in an effort to establish their dominance. The English Bulldog of today is not intended for any bloody sport, like bull baiting or dog fighting, which were outlawed in 1835. English Bulldogs can be prone to skin infections, and hence they require daily care for their folded skin. These dogs often have whelping difficulties because of their large heads; therefore, births often require Caesarian sections. Some dogs have eye problems, hip dysplasia and intestinal disorder. Their life span averages 8-10 years. English Bulldogs are extremely prone to overheating, which is mortally dangerous for them. For this reason, a good English Bulldog Kennel should be placed in a cool and shady place, where your dog will be able to safely hide from heat.
